On our last day we walked up to Watendlath from Surprise View on the southeast corner of Derwent Water. Another just amazing day for walking. We then drove to Grasmere on Grasmere and saw William Wordsworth’s hangouts. The day ended with a last meal at the Crown Inn in Pooley Bridge.
We started the day with a small walk around Dunamallard Hill. Then we spent the day in and around Keswick.
Great tour of the North Lake District starting at the Bowderstone south of Derwent Water. Then we had a good walk along Catbells and through Brandelhow. Next, a drive to Whinlatter Visitor Centre in the forest and over Whinlatter pass. And lastly we drove by Crummock Water and Buttermere to the top of Honister Pass.

Travel from Thornaby (George's house) with George and Norma, pick up Elsie from Sheila's house and travel to Pooley Bridge in the Lake District.
Stayed at George's the previous night. George and Norma took us on a tour around the area in the morning and then we went and had a few wobble pops and a massive buffer at Sheila and Albert's with her family.
Last day in London. Had a good walk around Regent's Park and then went to the Geffrye Museum.
Tate day. Tate Briton and a boat ride to Tate Modern
Today we went out to see Frogmore House gardens. It is part of Windsor Castle grounds and is open a few times a year. The Queen likes to keep it for herself!
Went shopping to Oxford Street and later on did a walking tour around the Parliament Buildings.
Arrived in London and were very weary. Went to the Victoria and Albert Museum and that was about it.
