The shape of the trek is a figure '9', hence the name. Its about 7 miles, with one stretch of moderate hiking uphill. Great 3 hour hike that will get you in shape !

Great 2.5 hour horse (or bike or foot) trek with moderate elevation gains. On this trek, Jaime threw his shoe late in the trek. Great views - it does not get better! We did this trek in Jan 2011. Grass was only about 6" tall. Great time to hike!

RSV / Satwiwa Waterfall loop

Christmas Eve hike from the Lindero Canyon Trailhead to Simi Peak. This trek shows only one way, but you just reverse course and head out. 12/24/2010. Great weather, and we did the hike just after rains.

Fun hike on popular trail in the Santa Monica Mtns. Start at Newton Canyon Trailhead on Kanan, and end up at Buzzards Roost Ranch (private property). Great views of the islands, we even saw snow at Frazier Park.
