This section (VIII) is from Deal to Richborough. It is probabbly the flatestsection of the whole SSW, as it goes right beside the Channel, at sea level, from Deal until it turns inland at The Royal St George's Golf Course . We stopped for a pleasant lunch at the George & Dragon, Fisher Street, Sandwich.After lunch we continued on to Richborough Fort - the Roman's gateway to Britain. We then returned to Sandwich railway station.

This section (VI) is from the western end of Crete Road East at Palmer's Hill above Folkestone to Dover. This section has more great views of the Channel, Folkestone, Dover and all the defence works between.  We also visited the Battle of Britain Memorial, which is on the route.Lunch stop was the Royal Oak at Capel-le-Ferne.This is the 'catch-up' walk for the official walk we missed last week.

This is Tony P's linear walk from the Gardena Pass via Corvara to Badia Abtei (Pedraces). It uses Paths 8, 4, 10 and 2. 

This is Tony P's circular walk via St Leonardo, Ruac, Fornacia to La Valle. The return was via Pederoa and Costa.It uses paths  7A, 2A, 8A and 8.

This is Len & Steve's walk up onto the Pralongia Plateau,It uses Paths 5, C1, 2, 30, 30A , 23, 4, 4B, 4A, 11 and C2. 

This is Steve's Munt de Gherdenacia Walk.It uses paths 1, 1A, 11, C1 & 5.

This is Len & Steve's easy walk along the valley from Pedraces.It goes South via Paths 5 & C1 to La Villa and then  to Verda where we crossed the river and returned along path 2.

This is section V of our Saxon Shore Way walk. This section is from Sandling Railway Station to the start of Crete Road East at Palmer's Hill above Folkestone. This sectiong has great views of the Channel Tunnel Terminal. Lunch stop was the New Inn at Etchinghill.
