Walking Guides and Trips
Trips
Such a nice day for a walk, hanging out, meeting people, enjoying sunshine.
I was out walking on the railroad again. Wanted to explore the big warehouse/factory near Greektown. Walked the railroad bed a few blocks north.
West Baltimore is home to a lot of churches. As I pass through from time to time I have always promised myself I'd get organized about this. Finally, yesterday, I grabbed the camera and did as best I could within the small area of LaFayette Square and Dolphin Street. Taking the pictures was the easy part, matching the pictures with the names of the churches proved to be more difficult. I've visited...
A little GPS artwork fun. This idea was concocted while I lay under the clouds and sunshine over at the fort. Why does a fort always need to be a fort? Can't it be a pretty flower?A few hours worth of work, et voila. Now click on "Stats" and then the green arrow and you can walk along with me. Remember to dodge the British cannon fire as you go.
I'm up to my usual fun. I have led many many hikes and photowalks over decades. God has looked rather kindly upon me and up until today I have never had to deal with rain, which it did in buckets today. This worked well for the 4 souls who were willing to brave the elements with me as the rain was really good for pictures. I finally got some decent pictures of...
This was a photowalk. I don\'t know much about these planes other than they make pretty pictures. They are located at the Glenn L Martin Aviation Museum Aircraft Display Site. I guess these planes were fighter planes from the days of yore. My friend, John, organized a group of local photographers to join him in some photography of his favorite subject.
This was a group hike done at about 2.5 mph so wasn't able to set up my shots with my usual care.
These are placemarks for Druid Hill Park, they should be reasonably accurate. Some of them are from the Ghosts of Druid Hill. I put this together for a photowalk but they may be useful for somebody else. You can click on each placemark to see the description. You can download the gpx file and transfer these placemarks to your gps, or you can use the handy dandy send-to-your-iphone option located to your...
The was a flickr photowalk. 30 photographers took a walk around Canton/Fells Point. These are my pics.
Walking around with my camera, not driving and doing all of this in one afternoon.
This was walk I did earlier in the year. The pictures are from 2008 mainly.
