From what I can find on the internet, on Feb 23rd, 1943, the C49J flew from Pueblo to Denver when it hit bad weather and flew off course. The pilot, co-pilot and crewmen were obviously killed on impact.

I took this trail until it T'd with the Bear Creek Canyon Trail. I followed this (BCCT) down a ways and found a couple nice looking campsites.
Dylan, Zoey, Lilly and I went for a quick hike this afternoon.I forgot how awesome this trail is.
Mom (Nancy), Dylan, Zoey, Lilly, and I took a quick hike around "the rock" this afternoon.Some of the highlights were getting to pet a couple horses as well as seeing 2 falcon chicks high (and hearing them talk to us) on the side of Monument Rock.

Of course, I opted for a hike, and I thought we were going to the Rainbow Gulch trail in Woodland Park, but as we were driving towards Manitou Springs on Hwy 24, Zoey started to get psyched about The Incline. She had never been and wanted to prove herself. Lilly was freaked out and scared...
