On April 23 at 8:00am we will ride from La Costa to Elfin Forest to Lake Hodges down the San Dieguito River Park to Lusardi Canyon up to Black Mountain to Penasquitos Canyon to finish at North of the Border. Orange tape will lead the way and many now know the route so there is no shortage of ride leaders. We have dedicated sweeps so "No Man or Woman Left Behind"..ever! Aid...
Upcoming trip plans.Massive amounts of snow means Donahue Pass at 11,200' will require a good deal of snow shoeing, but we'll get there. Then hopefully the lakes on the other side aren't frozen over. Assuming we can fish, we'll need to fish deep to catch much. Easy trip from Tuolomne Meadows, out the Glen Aulin trail down to see the waterfalls. The winter was pretty snow-heavy, so the water levels were awesome. Part of the trail heading out was flooded, but besides the mosquitoes, it just made it that much more of an adventure.Though I believe this is considered a fairly popular route, we saw about 10 or so day hikers on the way to the High Sierra...
