I spent two nights at the Point Reyes Hostel off Limantour Rd, and on the day in between went on a hike. My route took me out the Estero Trail (via Muddy Hollow Trail) where I stopped at one point to watch a nearby herd of elk. At the junction with Glenbrook Trail I stopped for lunch, then returned to the hostel via Glenbrook Trail and Muddy Hollow Road.
I commonly go for a small weekend hike up Poly Canyon or the ridge overlooking campus, but today I decided to take my bike and explore a little farther.I headed up Poly Canyon Road, past the "Architecture Graveyard", though it looks like I was on Cal Poly property the whole time.Climbing up the end of the canyon, I stopped for a break. Unfortunately, I found my skis accumulating snow to the point where they may as well have been snowshoes. About 11:50 I...
