Have always wanted to explore the "Summit of Apleichau" - Mt Johnston - not to be mistaken as Cinnamon Hill... this is the higher one on Apleichau. Did it on this beautiful day! Magnificent views of Island South and Apleichau and Lamma Island. Down to Ap Lei Pai, the little island off Ap Lei Chau, connected by a stretch of sandy beach which goes back to the sea during high tide...Some steep...

The Garmin Forerunner305 had enough battery to take only 50km...Really bad weather during this year's Japan Trailwalker... Rain all the way... Fog, mud, snow at different point of the trail... Very cold!
Training for Japan Trailwalker.Hiked the first 12k with a friend at a comfortable pace. Started catching up on the pace after he left at Aberdeen.Replenished 1.5L at Wong Nai Chung Reservoir but ran out of water after coming down from Mount Butler. It was unexpectedly hot and the air quality was bad.Had to abort the training and went straight down to Tai Tam Road.

Coldest day of this Winter in Hong Kong...Heavy fog and very cloudy. Was drizzling in the afternoon. GPS reception was bad - lost 4km on the GPS...The 6hr23mins included about 45mins of powergel time, Snickers time, loo time and at least 30mins of waiting around the Quarry because there were blastings...ITB in the right leg started to hurt after #50 so it was more walking and jogging instead of running.Decided to end...
