This was my first trip out to Castle and Goat rock in Castle Rock SP. These rocks are incredible for bouldering, free and protected climbing. The holds have better shape and feel than the walls at Planet Granite, and it is outside! Show up before 11 to have the rock to yourself, but there are plenty to go around.
Absolutely beautiful mountain bike trail just off Skyline Blvd. Stunning views, cool forest, amazing downhills and long uphills to build endurance. I'll certainly be doing this ride again.
A very pleasant hike from the historic barn up Alambique trail, along Meadow Trail to Redwood Flat, then back down the Bear Gultch switchbacks. We saw no one else the entire hike and the weather was a wonderful escape from one of the hotter days in the Penninsula.

The trek up Avalanche Gultch, Mt. Shasta. We didn't quite Summit this time due to weather - 100 lightning strikes that evening!
