I decided it was time for another bike ride through Riverbend Park this morning. It was kind of hot, but moving along creates a breeze.
Just walking around seeing what is going on in Juno Dunes Natural Area. I saw four Gopher Tortoises, a Black Racer, a Roufous-sided Towhee, several Cardinals, Bluejays, Mockingbirds, 6-Lined Race Runners (Lizards) and a fresh water turtle laying eggs in the warm sand!
Land Steward hike. I picked up some trash and took some pictures of possible exotic vegetation.

I was out with the usual suspects for a Sunday morning hike in the woods of South Florida.
I explored a new trail in Cypress Creek Natural Area today. This portion of the trail is for hikers and horses. No bicycles allowed. No pets allowed.
A nice 7.5 mile hike in the Flatwoods and Wetlands.

A Sunday morning hike with friends in Pond Cypress Natural Area. This area is mostly wetlands, so plan on getting wet feet if you hike out here.
Out for a test ride in Jeff's boat, We couldn't open it up much because of the Manatee Speed Limit Laws.
A little Sunday morning hike with friends. It was a great morning!
After being cooped up by rainy weather for three days, I was ready for a hike in the woods. The East side of the river along here is particularly enchanting, with old growth Oaks and Cypress, lush ferns and Spanish Moss. After so much rain, the trails were very wet with large puddles, but I didn't mind.

Today, I felt like taking a nice bike ride, so I cruised the C-18 Bluegill Trail, through Riverbend Park and out to the Old Jupiter-Indiantown Grade Trail. It was a little warm, but I had my Camelbak full of water and a Gatorade for hydration.
