Hiking Trails and Trips
Trips
This is NOT the correct trail to summit Mt Starr, because I did not study the map carefully. Lessons learned. The easiest / correct approach should be following the trail to Mono Pass then go up the ridge.Hiked with Jean, she did not make to the summit due to steep slope. Really tired and ice axe / crampons were used. I believe this approach was at least Class 3 snow.
Early spring hiking in the snow. Ice axe was used in the last section.Member: Jean and Bo.

I got lost during the hike in the mountaineer route. Actually it is not a lost. But I have to do a lot of climbing in order to get from Mt Russell to Iceberg Lake.Free climbing that notch was fun but dangerous as well. Do NOT use this GPS information for route finding.
