Sudbury River (From Little Farms Rd to Corner of Purchase St)
by itfaster on Jul 10, 2011
Saxonville, Massachusetts, United States
Kayaking / Canoeing | 1.5 miles
It isn't an easy trip. The river is very narrow, around 20 yards wide most of journey, the very swift water. My original destination is Winter St Framingham, MA. The trip is cut short because the river condition near the Saxonville Dam is impossible to go upstream anymore. I  have to carry my kayak at two spots...Anyway, It is a not recreational trip, but I enjoyed the every moment simply becoz it...

Sudbury River (Return Trip: From Corner of Purchase St to Little Farms Rd)
by itfaster on Jul 10, 2011
Saxonville, Massachusetts, United States
Kayaking / Canoeing | 2.2 miles
The return trip is not as bad as the earlier one. Though the river is swift but I can still control the speed. I have to get out and pull my Kayak below Concord Rd Bridge and Little Frams Rd becoz the shallow water condition and a fallen tree. Finally, I get a chance to revisit the Broken Bridge and find out the Oxbow location. And I found the famous "Knox Trail" ...

Sudbury River (From Sherman's Bridge to Stone Bridge)
by itfaster on Jul 01, 2011
Nine Acre Corner, Massachusetts, United States
Kayaking / Canoeing | 7.4 miles
First time go north of Sherman's bridge. The 2nd half of river is quite narrow. There are many fallen trees and I have to kayak through very slowly. After two L turns, the river leads to very shady part of river with tall tree on both banks.

I saw a big, beautiful swan !!!and took three pictures before she took off. The regret is I only have smart phone (Motorola Atrix 4G) to take it. Come back 7.3mile in 2 hours with Pamlico 120, arrive home about 9PM. It is about completely dark after putting my kayak on the top of my Honda Odyssey.
