My wife and I hiked this trail over the summers of 2007 & 08 but never tracked it. When my brother and I started walking trails with our dogs we thought it would be nice to slowly chip away a gps track for the entire trail. We just completed our last segment of the trail today 12/11/11. It took us 11 trips over the last year and a half, so that is why the track...
A friend took us down the old rail bed from National Forge Road to the old Biddle Estate ruins. The estate was torn down about 30 years ago.The ruins are fairly well overgrown now but you can still see parts of the foundation and the old ice house. There is a flat stone at west side of the ruins that is said to bleed on the full moon. Appearently the story is...

This is 15 mile canoe trip down the Allegheny River from the Kinzua Dam to Buckaloons Campgrounds. Time of There are many islands and side water routes you can explore on this trip. However lack of rain made it easier for us to stay on the main river so we did not have to portage. There is only one set of small radids about mid way in the trip. All though they are...
Easy walk from the visitor center to town. This is one of the only two trails in the Great Smoky Mountain National Forest that pets are allowed on. Pets are not allowed in the forest. It follows a stream down to Gatlinburg and is realitively level all the way. There are some old house ruins with fire places and and old cemetary.Easy walk if you are looking for something other then the tourest...
Just headed out into the Allegheny National Forest by Clarendon PA and started driving the Forest Roads. It was a sunny and hot day and a nice way to spend several hours enjoying the forest.

This was a short walk, only 1.2 miles. The trail follows Hemlock Run and descended 300 over that distance but it was very gradual. From this trailhead to the lake you will descend 700 feet. There are some nice rock formations along the west side of the run that the trail passes.
Short section of the North Country Trail south off of PA Rt 59 east of Warren PA
Just a nice trail to hike if you want a nice walk in the woods. The worst accent is on the NE section of the loop, but it is short and not real hard.
If you ever go to the Grand Canyon of PA by Wellsboro, you have to take the scenic drive of the West Rim. There are several vista stops along the way as well as some of the most beautiful forests you will ever drive through. Most of the West Rim route is on hard pack dirt roads so expect your car to be a little dusty. The track posted starts from our campsite...
This track starts from our campsite at the park, heads over the dam on the north to the Beaver Dam trailhead. We hike that trail loop around to the Tornado Alley trail head (N41.11.498/W078.31.607). This brought us back down on the west side of the park in the cabin rental area. We then took the east side of the lake trail to return to our campsite.
This track started from our campsite and begins and ends where you see the loop.Short easy trail. Good for nice easy walk.
The track actually starts at our campsite in the park as we travel to where the loop begins and The "New Giant Trail" head. There is a spur off this trail that takes you to a vista of the dam. You then return to the trail and continue on. We ended on Mud Road just north of the park and walked it north up Tyler Road then went east on Tyler just a...
