This triangle on a stick is a tough 10 mile hike from Lexington Reservoir end of Limekiln to the Priest Rock junction and then on along Woods Road. We had done the Limekiln - Priest Rock - Kennedy Junction and back - which is quite grueling as you get to the Kennedy junction. This hike does one better. The perfect hike on a hot day because this trail has almost 95% shade.However, be prepared - once you start it is up, up and up - no respite whatsoever until you reach Highway 35. Rightfully, no other hike in the Bay Area can hold a candle to the Berry Creek Falls loop! Yes, it is strenous. The elevation profile is interesting to see - we have now done this hike both clock-wise and counter-clockwise. My personal preference is to do it clockwise - get to Berry Creek falls in 5 miles, almost all the way down. Coming back 6.5 miles you go up a few hills...
