Trips
This is a track of our adventures when we went out to defend the hot tub rights at the recent Grand Cache Event held Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Wingfoor Lake State Park in Suffield, Ohio. We banded together along with evilchic79 and TeamEskimoZookeepers to form a clan we called Manic Moonshiners. Together we ran about the park and all over Akron, Mogadore and Tallmage gather all the Feud questions and trying...
We decided to head on
down to Chatfield with evilchic79 and Pantera829 (Team Evil.Pantera)
and have a nice fun day at the NCOG Sphinx Spring Spree. It was a
perfect day for it, we managed to stay out of the wet weather north of
the event :) We really enjoyed all the crisscrossing across the county
and looking for all the Egyptian wonders for us to find. We had a pretty
good...
We ventured down from Cleveland to attend the third annual Autumn Geofest held at the Wilderness Center in Wilmot, Ohio, by The Wilderness Center Geocaching Club. We had a rather large group for most of the day, including, but certainly not limited to: TeamGuisinger, didymus, The Mad Cow, NL8GP, Tara16, W8TTS, ak8b, Hope we Find It, MattFamily, Blue Goose - and of course we were joined by so many other cacheers along...
We were fortunate enough to team up with TeamEskimoZooKeeper, EvilChic79 and Pantera829 for this years Grand Caching Event in Independence - CSI: Cleveland. We had a really great time figuring out all the clues, and elimating suspects from suspicion. And in the end we nailed the truly guilty suspect but were just a little slow getting back. But we had such a great time, it didnt really matter.

We stopped down here
to check out the Tailgating after doing several of the NE OSP Challenge
caches on this warm and humid day with EvilChic79 and Pantera829. We
arrived to see a few groups of cachers already plundering the temp
caches placed for the event, and the various grills and tables being
setup and prepared for the festivities. We chatted with a few folks
first, signed in, and got the temps...
We were out and about on this windy rainy day trying to help TeamGuisinger get a few caches and spend the day enjoying their company. The run took us down to Strasburg to start and wound us up to Canton and back again. A nice variety of cemetery and park'n'grabs enabled us to dodge most of the rain drops during the day It was nice to spend the day with them. Looking...
Geocaching is celebrating its 10th year this weekend (April 30-May3) and we decided to make a day of it and visit as many friends as we could at the various events. So we started off in Erie, PA and then ventured forth to Pittsburgh, PA. Then it was off to Greene, OH, then down to Galion, OH, and finally ending up in Maple Heights, OH. What a day but what fun we...
We went on a cache run recently along with some good friends, SerenityNow, EskimoZooKeepers and D-n-F and had an absolute blast in the process. Our goal was to break all of our daily records for the most caches found in a single 24 hour period (we each had our own record but the highest in the group at the time of the trip was 154). This is the route along with the caches...
We could not wait for this event, its definitely one of our favorite winter/night events and we look forward to it each year :) So this year, since TaterDotOne (our granddaughter) couldnt make it out to help us Bark at the Moon, she insisted she wanted to try this one, even though the hike was going to be much longer and more arduous. So, we picked up TaterDotOne and off we sped...
We had been looking
forward to this year's event since we heard about it from a good friend
and volunteer, and we were so glad when Shelly and the crew had
fortunately re-scheduled the date. This allowed us to attend this one
which is one of our favorites that we look forward to each year :)
Nothing better than to run around in the night time with a group of
friends (in the snow, in the mud, in...
Well, we had been planning this adventure for quite some time and
awaiting the right time to make our trip. We had made our original
plans with Jester & Granny, and decided to give our good friend
Geo-Sarge a call to see if he wanted to tag along as well. Little did
we know that Sarge had never done a true night cache before - sure sure
we had cached at night, but not a real night...

The Wilderness Center (TWC) Geocaching Club held a fall
Geocaching event again this year. Cachers came to enjoy the fall colors and
pick up a few or a lot of caches while they were at it!
We arrived around 8am awaiting the rest of our caching party who were coming in from Lancaster and New Lexington to join in the fun. By the time we got out on the trails we had quite a crew: N8LGP,...

Out with good friends, Golly Geos,
this evening to do the night cache in the area, Things That Go Bump in
the Night. This was an adventure that we had talked about doing for the
past week or so, and we were so loking forward to it. And what a night
we picked - perfect weather - not too hot, not chilly, not wet - JUST
RIGHT for a night cache. We arrived at the parking lot...

Picked up Geo-Sarge today at the crack
of dawn so we could grab the southern half of the NEO SPC caches. This
was our second of the day out of 9 caches we had slated to grab on this
day off. It was a very nice walk back to the cache location past the
swamp and through the dark trail, and having to cross the creek near
the GZ on a nice rickety old bridge, LOL. Found...

Picked up Geo-Sarge today at the crack
of dawn so we could grab the southern half of the NEO SPC caches. This
was our first of the day out of 9 caches we had slated to grab on this
day off. It was a very nice walk back to the cache location, saw a
heron, some swan, nice foliage, and everything looked rather spooky
with all the fog that hadnt lifted off the ground yet. Found the...

Picked up Geo-Sarge today at the crack
of dawn so we could grab the southern half of the NEO SPC caches. This
was our fourth of the day out of 9 caches we had slated to grab on this
day off. It was a very nice walk back to the cache location, only mud
was on the bridle trail near the cache location - but other than that
it was a very nice track back. Found the...
