Climb up the highest peak of Spain (mainland). This was in fact our first winter climb with gear (crampons & ice axe). Conditions for cramponing were perfect and the path was straightforward. Route: San Sebastián, Benchijigua, Imada, Igualero, El Cedro, Hemigua, Agulo, Las Rosas, Vallehermoso, Arure, Valle Gran Rey, Gerián, Chipude, San Sebastiánday 0 - Getting to Gomera:Flight to Tenerife South airport. From there a quick bus ride to Los Christianos and ~50min ferry ride to La Gomera. The ferry was the most expensive deal as the return trip was about 60EUR (much cheaper if you're lucky to be (or know) a Canary Island...
Around Tenerife in 4 days. Really tight schedule, but worth it. To my surprise Tenerife was really diverse and each part of it showed something new. Although not as walker friendly as Madeira, next time I would leave the car and spend some time exploring it on foot.
