Mt Pilchuck July 2012

Hiked up Mt  Pilchuck today, a place I always love to go. This is a late year. Its July and much of the trail is still covered in snow. This works well for me as I love a bit of snow to hike in and it keeps the crowds away. I replaced my geocache "Purgatory" near the lookout with a shiny new ammo box. Mt St Helens climb 2012

This track is not the whole trail, but from timberline only. A very windy frigid fog was blowing until we hit the top where it opened up and we could see the lava dome, Mt Hood, Mt Adams, and Mt. Rainier poking thier tops through the clouds.
