It run though the military reservation so there is one path with no getting off the trail from Renslow to the Columbia river, a distance of 20 uninterupted miles where you are likely to see no one. This is a steep trek up to the Plains of Abraham on the east flank of Mt St Helens, taking you along the Ape Cayon trail and the Muddy River lahar flow. If you wish to experience some of the other-worldy landscapes of a post volcanic explosive event, this is prime territory.

A mountain biking adventure with Moun10Bike. This was my introduction to the tough stuff of mountain biking. Quite steep in places and rough as heck in most. Exhaused by the end of the trip it was the rough surface that challenged me the most, But the views along the top ridge were outstanding and the company was good, plus I was much in need of the exercise.
