Walk around the Presidio Golf Course
For some reason the YWalk was canceled due to weather. So I just went on my own. It was a little overcast but never rained. I decided to see the wet trees from the record storm the day before. Unfortunately, the Eucalyptus Tree left wet bark, leaves and branches everywhere.
Wednesday Marin 3B Hike from Bootjack led by Eva.
Wednesday Marin 3B Hike led by BeeBee
Standard Castle Rock Loop but the GPS failed to log for about an hour. It was hot, mid 80's, with less than a dozen people on the trails. No campers at the Castle Rock Campgrounds but I could hear gun fire and semi-automatic weapons fire from the Los Gatos Shooting Range next to the campsite.
Wednesday 2B Hike. Mitch was supposed to lead this but he got a last minute modeling job. Edna led. Short walk on the Dipsea Trail to Cardiac Hill. Noodling around looking for a view before lunch and a look at the Lone Pine Spring. (Oddly named because it was deep in the woods.)Then we lost the rest of the group. The seven left came back on...

Shay Creek Summer Home Area, California, United States
Hiking | 5.2 miles
Hiking | 5.2 miles
Attempt to walk down Charity Valley to look at Wildflowers. Had some trouble finding the trail. Left when a thunderhead was dropping lightning within 9 seconds of the trail.
Water Taxi across both Upper and Lower Echo Lakes. Hike the Pacific Crest trail to Lake Aloha. Scrabble up a glacier moraine to Jabu Lake. Then back down and out.
Medium hike from Stanford Camp. Thunderhead built up and dropped just as I returned to camp. Took the shortcut back but it was a little muddy.
Morning Hike to Angora Lake and Back
Out Simmons to Berry Trails to Marin Watershed Lakes. Back on Cataract Trail.
Hike to bird watching site led by Bob.
Hike from Rock Springs Trailhead down Cataract Trail, cut off on High Marks before Falls, take the ridge back. Led by Mitch.
Led by Judy. A 2B hike near Samuel Taylor Park.
GPS logger retained the initial position from Angora Ridge where I was the day before. Hike started from shortcut behind Stanford Sierra Camp and we did not fly from Angora Ridge to the mid-Tallac trail.
Hike through 2-3 feet of fresh snow.
Set out to map the Lobos Creek Valley Trail but it was closed after the sand dunes due to Habitat Restoration. Used a "social trail" up to Letterman Hospital and back down to the GGNRA Maintenance Complex.
