An overcast day, but none-the-less a great loop to some wonderful vistas.... We did not make Chapel Rock because of the weather but the views from Pine Mountain were incredible. With a pending overnight to Carter Notch Hut it was great to see the notch from a far and put it in perspective.

A quick and easy hike to a small little Fall off the Thompson Brook. Great reason to stop at Wildcat Mountain and checkout the zip lines or Gondola Rides to the top!
A great 1.5M Waterfall Loop with the last, Tama Falls, offerring a great picnic and wading rest point. Complete as a loop by taking Brookbank to Fallsway and pass Gordon Falls, Salroc Falls and Tama Falls. The base of Tama offers a great spot to picnic and wade, albeit, anywhere along the Snyder Brook offers great resting points!

A Spring Break Trip to Yosemite National Park cut short by 8in of Snow.... Fortunately we were able sneak in some activities in the Valley and then a hike up to Upper Yosemite Falls.
A long Ski Weekend at Bretton Woods with a little hiking up to Mt. Avalon. Having hiked Willard before we decided to give Avalon a shot and had an absolute blast. Everyone was treated to a little snow sliding on the way down.....

A winter camping weekend at a great Scout Camp in PA.... Given the winter it was much more like a "Spring" weekend....
A quick easy hike to one of the most spectacular falls along the Kancamagus.... Having visit the falls close to a dozen times in my life it never ceases to amaze!
Quick Short house around some scenic logging and farming venues in the Whites.... Geocaching was a bonus.
Our second day trip to a hut in the AMC system.... assuming non-winter conditions this is a great day trip with kids.... their are a few sections of rocky terrain but otherwise the trail follows an abandoned railroad log trail. Their are a variety of loops you could complete assuming you have the ability to drop a vehicle... overnight guests could also use Zealand Hut as a great launch point for other day hikes...
One of many great, short hikes off the Kancamangus... of course this was a little more exiciting in the rain!
A great hike up to an AMC hut.... The Lonesome Lake Hut is one of the easiest and quickest to access hust from a Trailhead. Total of 3.2 miles includes the loop around the lake. Our visit was enhanced with a Bull Moose siting.... Only our second and certainly best in all the years visiting NH.... Looking forward to a couple hut to hut hikes next summer!

Sadly it’s been some time since we got out for a good ole fashion family
hike. This is a great access point to Sunfish Pond that is much quieter than
the Route 80 Access point via the AT or Dunnfield Creek Trail. Even on a Sunday
this was very lightly travelled. The trail has a few sections of pretty steep
elevation gain but the entire route, inclusive of a loop around the pond comes
in under 5...
