Trips
Hiked up to Mt Baldy (Mt San Antonio) again. This time we made the full loop. From Manker Flats, headed up Baldy Bowl trail past the Ski Hut. Just past the ski hut and the lower bowl, there is a step incline for about a 1/2 mile. This section was very icy. We wish we had brought our Yak Trax, but carefully scrambled up, mostly hiking alongside the trail....

Hiked up the San Bernardino Peak Trail to just before Manzanita Springs. There's a wonderful ridgeline with manzanita that makes for a nice spot for lunch and a grand view.
Hiked the Holy Jim trail up to Santiago Peak. At this time of year there were dozens of different wild flowers providing a variety of colors along the path.

Great little hike through the coastal wilderness. We took the Blue Route which is the longest hike available in the Crystal Cove State Park.
We hiked the Holy Jim trail most of the way to Santiago Peak. The trail has a decent amount of shade along the way. There were a bunch of mountain bikers along the way.
We had a pleasant short hike up Vivian Creek Trail.
Following a suggestion from a gentleman at REI, we did the Panorama Trail in Yosemite. This is a great mostly downhill hike. You take a bus ride from the valley to Glacier Point. From there you start with a huge view of the valley. Taking the Panorama Trail we passed three falls including Illiloutte, Nevada and Vernal.Lucky for us it had rained a week or so prior and gave the falls...
Hiked the San Bernardino Peak Trail from Angelus Oaks to Limber Pine Springs. It was a cold windy day, but above the clouds it was crystal clear.

Took an easy hike to Johns Meadow Camp. For the area this is one of the more flat hikes without much elevation gain. Just before getting to the camp, you cross the Forsee Creek which was running even in September.
We hiked up only with the intention of making it to Icehouse Saddle. But once we got there we still felt really good, so we forged onward to Cucamonga Peak. Great views of the Inland area.
Hiked to Ontario Peak from the Ice House Trailhead. It was beautiful weather with clouds rolling in for the hike down, making for a cool descent. Up at the ridge and peak you could see the inland area was hidden by cloud cover.
Hike up to Mount Baldy, CA from Manker Flats.
