Preparing to map Wadi Sidr
Recently created trip, Wadi Wurrayah after the storm, is a little
confusing as it includes the track from Fujairah and both the track
suitable for cars and the 4x4 only track.This track is suitable for 4x4s
and starts at the U-turn just south of Al Bidiyah/Thursday market.
On Sunday 10 April 2011 the East Coast of the UAE was lashed by a violent storm, causing a great deal of damage. On Friday 15 April we travelled up Wadi Wurrayah - a place we have been on a number of occasions - the difference, as a result of the storm and the water that must have gushed through the wadi, was amazing.This trip was recorded for inclusion into the Guide...
Trying to map the byways east of Fujairah. Did a ring route with Michael to define the area. Will use Google Earth to find and map meaningful and interesting routes within the ring. Need to take a notebook and write down names of places.

Trying to get from Fujairah to Masafi using only off road routes. Get as far as I can then upload trail to EveryTrail and then to Google Earth to see where I got to and where I should go in order to finally complete the journey.
Found the link between Wadi Madha and the Fujairah-Dubai road, east of Defta. Stunning views.

Tried to find a way through to the coast from the Wadi Kub turnoff (RAK-Dibba Road). Eventually found Al Ghail and the start of the Wadi Sidr UAE Off-road route.
First attempt at creating an Every Trail - still not 100% but getting there. No duration or average speed data, but at least the track is there and so is the altitude.
