To break up a long drive, we go for a little ski in Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah.
We try out some new alpine touring gear by hiking up Shafer Butte at the Bogus Basin ski area. The full story is in the blog entry.

A rewarding little out-and-back any time of year, but you can drive quite a bit further in the summer.
