Lopez Island morning walk to Upright Channel beach and park.
A pleasant walk on trails and rural public county roads. Mostly within the northern half of Deception Pass State Park. Could complete this circuit from any number of parking areas along the route, including Pass Lake, Bowman Bay, Rosario Beach and Sharpe Park.
A country roads walk from South Fidalgo to Anacortes.
Anacortes walk from Mount Erie school.
Winter-solstice-day walk around Anacortes with a few photos taken along the way.
Washington Park Loop Road is closed to motor vehicles and is pedestrian only access until 10AM and again later in the day. The paved two mile loop provides excellent scenic vistas and also meanders through old growth forest.
Sharpe Park affords well maintained trails through varied environment, including woodlands, marshlands and balds. This walk terminates at Sares Head with breathtaking scenic panoramic views at the 400' elevation of the bluff.
