One of the easier United States Highpoints. It is on private property, but the landowners are gracious to allow public access. Please respect the property. The most memorable moment of this highpoint was the drive to the highpoint on Route 227. The road has plenty of hills and dips to tickle your tummy. We also thought the trail around the highpoint was epic.

This was the last trail on Mill Mountain that I had not been on. It is really the most unimpressive of them all. The trail was probably at one time a gravel access road to Crystal Springs Reservoir. The reservoir is no longer used, but there is the overgrown remnants of it, which might interest some.
The Garst Mill Park Greenway is a short paved asphalt track that runs alongside a stream. There are some pavilions, fields, and playgrounds that add to the atmosphere. A nice place for a short stroll.
This railwalk is a neat piece of downtown Roanoke. It is a short outdoor museum of railroad history. Signs and pictures detail the history of the railroad in Roanoke up to present day. Kids will love the interactive bells and whistles. There is nothing like the blast of a diesel train whistle.
The David Smith Trail is a part of the Roanoke River Greenway. At this time, it acts as a stand alone section. There is a skate park, ball fields, and a playground nearby.
Based on new annexed lines for the City of Salem, Virginia, I believe this to be the highest point in the city. COHP.org places the highpoint to the southeast, but this was based on older city lines from topo maps. The old point involved a bit more work to reach. This track is in the vicinity of the Delaware State Highpoint. The exact location is debated. If you look like you are looking for the highpoint, you very well may run into a very nice local lady who will take you around and snap your picture. Be sure to sign her log book. There are several benchmarks to find and a Delaware/Pennsylvania Stateline marker.
There is a wheelchair accessible perimeter path and a woodland loop dirt trail for the veterans at the Virginia Veterens Care Center. Thanks for your service to this country.

A short boardwalk through some wetlands.
My wife and I went to see the manatees that call this spring their home during the winter months. The constant 72 degree spring water enables the manatees to stay warm when the surrounding waters get colder due to seasonal temperature fluctuation.
I hiked this one with my wife's uncle Kish. The top of the temple provides a beautiful view of the city. The large steps leading up to the temple were built so that elephants could walk the king up to the top of the temple.
Visit the Spice Plantation and get a feel for some of the countryside of Goa. This was a highlight on our trip to Goa.
There were quite a lot of sites and sounds to take in on this temple visit.
This is a nice local boardwalk through Sweetwater Park. It reminds me of going back to the times of the dinosaurs with the large elephant ear plants and huge Cypress trees.
