This years family Easter walk took us along the Swan River from Matilda Bay, Crawley to Mosman Bay. Some paths, some beach, some wading and some scrambling along bush paths. This is a great walk on a good day, and todays weather was perfect - and the dog loved it too!Its worth Checking out the Whadjuk trails website for some local history and stories.
This was a short walk we did along the lower part of the Swan River on Easter Friday 2012. You can start at either Bicton Baths (parking off Braunton or Phipps st) or Park near Henry Jeffery Oval on Jerrat St. There are riverside paths for much of the way and once you pass the limestone cliffs of Blackwall Reach you can follow the foreshore - especially at low tide. There are...
We decided to do for an Easter Friday wander along the lower Swan River between Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club and Gilbert Fraser Oval in North Fremantle. There are some well constructed paths, bush tracks and in some places you need to wade (up to waist deep) through the water.Although it may be tempting, don't try to bush bash as the river edge is very steep and very fragile and only a...
Ballarat Historic building WalkI visited Ballarat todya with my mum and had a interesting walk around looking at some of the towns historic buildings. The tourist centre has a number of good guides from which I have lifted some text...

This is a short walk around the Trigg Bushland in Karrinyup. There are many tracks through the bush here and you can do a number of circuits. It travels through banksia woodland and coastal heath which covers ancient dunes - some of which are quite steep. Most of the bush in this area has been cleared and converted to residential housing, so this reserve is quite special and its a nice place...
A quick walk around the lake
The Domes WalkThere are many walks in the Purnululu National Park and the Domes Walk is just a small "taster" of what the park has to offer. It begins at the Piccaninny Creek carpark which is 27km from the park visitor centre. The trail is only 1km and depending on your pace will take 15 -30 mins. Its an easy trail, relatively flat following good trail or firm creek beds. The trail...
