On July 17, 2010, David Loeb and I , from Bay Nature Institute, and Ken Lavin and Bob Johnson, from Greenbelt Alliance, led about 25 people on a 4-mile walk through the Bekreley Hills, where giant boulders are sprinkled among historic homes and semi-rustic footpaths. A Bay Trail walk starting at Albany bulb down to Emeryville. The Bulb, a landfiull home to great art and retty good birding (ducks and shorebirds) was the highlight. You also pass through the Berkeley Meadow, with an ongoing restoration project. A little ugly, but interesting to see how a wetland gets built, and who moves in.
