Overview:
Follow this trail from the south end in Fort Edward near the Feeder Canal all the south end of Lake George. You will travel first along a series of canals, then through residential streets in Glens Falls then back on the bike path all the way to the lake passing several lakes along the way. There are a few hills here and there but nothing to really challenge you. It is a beautiful path and well maintained. When you get close to the lake take the time to stop at the interpretive signs along the path to learn about the history of the region.
Tips:
You can find parking near the south end off of Burgoyne Ave in Fort Edward at the Feeder Canal Park. Or if you want to start from the north end in Lake George you can find parking in many places at the south end of the lake near Battlefield Park.
This is a nice little pond along the golf course that you will pass along Round Pond Road on your way to hook up with the bike path again. Just past the pond take a right onto Birdsall Road and climb a little bit to regain the bike path past Glen Lake.
