Turner Hill is nearly everyone's favourite trail. Despite being 1.25 hours drive from Perth it is worth the trek to blast out a couple of laps of this all singletrack loop. There are plenty of rocks and obstacles to keep you on your toes and keen to do another lap or two.
In addition to the main 11km loop, there is a short cut which makes shortens the trail to only 5km, whilst still keeping all the fun bits, and a fairly new 1.1km Green rated kids loop.
The trail starts from the car park just off the unsealed Kesners Road, which is in turn off of Scarp Road to the north of Dwellingup. From Perth CBD it takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to drive there.
The trails heads off from the north side of the car park. Follow the singeltrack loop in a clockwise direction.
The full loop is 10.5km long. There is a short cut to shorten this to 5.4km.
There is also a 1.1km green rated kids loop starting from the car park.
Drinking water: No
Bike shop: Nowhere nearby
Mobile phone reception:
If using the free version of the EveryTrail app you will need continuous mobile coverage. At Turner Hill there is excellent Telstra reception but NO coverage on any other network. Please also bear this in mind when attempting the trail.
Try the short loop - still all the fun bits but without the long climb.
Why not make a day of your trip to Dwellingup and try the nearby Marrinup trail as well?
