Overview:
This is a nice loop trail with good views towards the southern presidentials. You'll have really good views from Avalon to Webster Cliffs. Mt. Tom and Field are wooded but Tom has a few views through the trees. In any case, you'll have two more peaks on your 4,000 footer list.
Tips:
You can park at the Crawford Notch parking lots then look for the trailhead for Mt. Tom to the west. It's $3 to park here. The name of the trail you are looking for is Avalon Trail.
If you have energy you could run the ridge over to Mt. Willey. I did not do this when I climbed it so I did not include it in this guide and will create another guide for it but for peak baggers this is the most efficient way to get all 3 peaks in the range. To get to Mt. Willey you'll need to travel about a mile south on the Willey Range trail to Mt. Willey then return which should be pretty easy.
