Overview:
Tizzano (or Tizza) is a beautiful quiet village on the West coast of Corsica island in the Mediterranean sea.
Tizzano beach is beautiful and ha some accommodations as kayak and windsurf renting, one or two restaurants.
Tizzano fame relies on the fantastic bays and beaches located North of Tizza. There are two ways to discover this beautiful coast, walking or by boat.
1. To visit the coast by boat, the small marina of Tizza rents private boat with or without skipper. Quite expensive but comfortable.
2. The best way to discover the region is by walking however. In this guide, GPS data include all the way from Tizzano to Campomoro. This is a a famous but huge hike. I would suggest to stop at the point of interest 6 (or 7, but it is a very long hike) and come back on the same way.
Note that if you decide to go to Campomoro, it is a two days hike unless you have a car in Campomoro to come back to Tizzano at the end of the hike. It's a long trip by car too...
Tips:
To go to Tizzano about 2km after leaving Sartène there's a junction on the N196 where you'll have to turn on the right then you will drive half an hour more.
There are a few hotels and a camping in Tizza. I would recommend this three stars hotel: www.hoteldugolfetizzano.com/fr/.
Try to avoid walking the first part of the hike by doing it by car on a large clay road that starts near the marina. From the parking, the lane is not that easy to find. You'll probably have to look for it for a while or simply trust my GPS data that are accurate.
What to bring. 3-4 L water / people as there is no water point, normal sport shoes, picnic (market near the marina), snorkel material, camera, beach stuffs...
The whole trip to Campomoro is very long and exhausting, think twice before doing it although it is very nice. The best way is to note how much time do you have walked and thus you'll know when to come back considering that you'll be more tired during the return.
Be careful, I stayed on the seashore, but you'll see in the point of interest number 2 that the official lane (that i used on my way back) is on the right. You should follow the official way if you want to avoid loosing time.
