Table Top Mountain

Parking here is $10 per day. Head on down the most traveled trail towards Marcy Dam after signing into the register.

Here you will want to find the trail towards Mt. Marcy called Von Hoevenberg. Follow this to the herdpath up Tabletop.

Here you will depart the Von Hoevenberg Trail and start heading up Tabletop.

At 4,413 feet you are the wooded summit of Table Top. There are a few views from lookouts south of the summit but not much. At least you got to check off another 46er. If you have energy when you are descending and time left in the day you always have the option of running up Phelps as well to get two peaks in one day, and Phelps has much better views. Look closely behind the guy in winter with the hiking poles and you'll see the summit register tied to the tree.

When you are this close to a beautiful waterfall you definitely need to put in the extra effort to walk over and check it out! From here head back down the way you came, running up Phelps only if you have the time and energy!
