Overview:
Visit Skorusina, the highest peak of Skorusina Mountains (SK – Skorušinské vrchy). The trail takes you through the romantic woods and the atractive observation tower of Skorusina will reward you with gorgeous views.
A moderate round trip from Habovka village is about 14.5 km, gaining about 592 m in elevation. It generally takes about 6:22 hours for an average hiker to complete the trip, allowing plenty of time for refreshment stops.
Make Habovka village your trailhead. First steeply, then gently, ascend through the forest trail to Skorusina (SK - Skorušina) peak. From Skorusina peak descend to Oravice village.
This was the official trip organized by Lokomotiva&Biotika hiking club in 2010.
Tips: At the end of your trip, you may visit a swimming pool or the water park in Oravice village.
