Overview:
Sisters Stampede is about 26.1 miles long and located near Sisters, Oregon. The trail is great for mountain biking and normally takes 1-3 hours.
The Sisters Stampede is an XC mountian bike race sanctioned by the Oregon Bicycle association on National forest land managed by the Sisters Ranger district. The race takes place on the Peterson Ridge trail which is maintained by the Sisters Trail alliance.
2010 was the first year for the race that takes challengers over a rolling course scattered with lava rocks and shadowed by large ponderosa pines. 2011 will be the same course as 2010 which takes most riders 25-26 miles while beginner or Cat 3 racers will be limited to 12.2 miles. Riders have 5 miles to separate before the single track takes them the rest of the way through.
The date is set for Memorial day weekend. May 29, 2011, so visit our website for race details, and registration. www.sistersstampede.com don't forget to find us on facebook too!
