Overview: Undulating through the forest high above Chattanooga the Raccoon Mountain Trail System offers trail runners the perfect terrain for high speed distance running. The views from along the trail are simply stunning so make sure to stop and take a breather or two and take in the spectacular scenery.
The course generally circumvents the reservoir impoundment. Runners run around the .3 mile loop at the beginning and the end of the race.

Tips: Potable water is limited along this course if running unsupported. There is access to an outside spigot at the Laurel Point bathroom as well as the visitor center.
