Overview: At over 1,000 feet you will have great views of Portland and will also have a great opportunity for bird watching. Take the time to explore the grounds and make sure to read the links I've included with this guide for more information on the site. The building is overseen by the Bureau of Parks and Recreation and it is open for touring.

Tips: MacLeay Park can be found at the end of Upshur Drive in North Portland.

Parking

Park here at the roundabout circle in McLeay Park. Head off south on the trail under the Thurman Street Bridge.

Crossing Cornell Road

Head across Cornell Road and start up the ascent to the top and Pittock Mansion on the Wildwood Trail.

Pittock Mansion

Enjoy the views on the loop path on the grounds around Pittock Mansion and if it is open make sure to go inside. This has been the site of several famous movies. You will have great views of Portland from your thousand foot perch. Make sure to keep an eye out for birds of prey circling the sky above.
