Overview: This is a short but steep climb up a smaller peak in the Adirondack High Peaks region that is known for its spectacular views of the Great Range. This is a good hike for family and kids and can be done in any season although in winter crampons may be a good idea for the rocky summit. If it is nice out bring a camera!

Tips: St. Huberts Trailhead:
The parking area is just off of Rte 73 just 7.5 miles west from exit 30 off of I-87. You'll then need to walk up the golf course road to the Noonmark Trailhead sign. There are no fees to park here.

Trail Junction

The trail splits here. The trail that follows Icy Brook to the left will take you to a pass and then descends towards the North Fork Bouquet River. That will be your return route. For now follow the trail to your right to start climbing up the ridge towards the top of Noonmark.

Noonmark Mountain Summit

At 3,556 feet you are at the summit of Noonmark. You will have absolutely great views of the Great Range and down towards the Ausable Club and Giant Mountain. Take lots of photos and head down the trail that leads off the summit towards the south to start a loop hike back. If you don't want to go the extra distance of the loop hike to see something different you are always free to head back down the way you came up.

Dix Trail Intersection

This is the Intersection with the Dix trail that heads towards Round Pond. Here you will follow a stream up about a hundred feet of elevation to a pass that will then drop you back down Icy Brook towards POI #2. From there just follow the Noonmark Trail back to the trailhead.
