Overview: This is a short 1 mile hike up a ridge to a high point of land called Lunch Tree Hill next to the Jackson Lake Lodge. You will overlook Willow Flats and Jackson Lake towards the Teton range in the distance. Keep your eye out for moose in Willow Flats. On the way back take the time to walk into Jackson Lake Lodge and get a bite (big bite) to eat at the Pioneer Grill before leaving the area.

Tips: To Jackson Lake Lodge:
Drive north on 89 from Jackson, Wy untill you get to the Moran Junction. Enter the National Park here ($20) and take a left on the park road for 5 miles until you see the lodge entrance your left.

Lunch Tree Hill Overlook

Read the interpretive signs and enjoy the amazing views over Willow Flats and Jackson Lake to the Tetons in the distance. Head back down the ridge you came up when you are done with photos. Head into the Jackson Lake Lodge before returning to your car.

Jackson Lake Lodge

Take a few minutes to explore this amazing hotel. If you have time stop in at the inexpensive (comparitively) Pioneer Grill for some less formal dining if you are hungry. They are know for their deserts. I got what you see in the photo in 2006 but I can't seem to recall the name of it. My friend bet me I couldn't finish and I thought I could. I lost.
