Overview: Lember Dome (9,450 ft.), located near the Tuolumne Meadows campground, is one of the best place to enjoy the views of Tuolumne Meadows. To hike Lembert Dome, you start from the Dog Lake parking lot on Tuolumne Meadows Lodge Road, follow the trail for Dog Lake at first, cross Tioga Road and continue hiking up the trail until you meet the junction for Lembert Dome. At the junction, continue hiking westward until you see Lembert Dome and use caution to scramble up to reach the top. This is a easy hike with elevation gain of about 700 feet.

Tips: Remove all your food in the car and deposit them in the lockers of the parking lot.

Dog Lake Parking Lot (8,720 ft.)

The Dog Lake parking lot is located on Tuolumne Meadows Lodge Road between the ranger station and the lodge. Park your car here and locate the trail head for Dog Lake at the northwest corner of the lot. Follow the trail for Dog Lake, cross Tioga Road and continue hiking up on the trail. In 0.8 miles, you will meet the trail junction for Lembert Dome.

Trail Junction (9,120 ft.)

At the junction, turn LEFT and continue hiking westward for less than half miles and you will see the big rock in the front.

Lembert Dome (9,450 ft.)

Use caution to scramble up to the top of Lembert Dome and enjoy all those famous scenic features, Tuolumne Meadows, Mt. Dana, Mt. Lyell, Cathedral Peak, Echo Peak and etc.. After enjoy the scenic views, take the same way back to the parking lot.
