Overview:
Considered the toughest trail in the Big Bear area. The tough part is fairly short. Hike a short distance for views of Lucerne Valley. Forest Adventure Pass required if you stop to recreate. Rating:
Difficult. Large boulders and steep climbs. Lockers and very high ground clearance required. Not for stock SUVs.
Tips:
Make sure you have an up-to-date Adventure Pass if you stop along the way. Can be combined with Dishpan Springs 4x4 Trail and John Bull Trail (both available as eGuides from FunTreks).
