Overview:
I and my friends love Universal CityWalk! But I don't love the high prices! I've been coming here for over 7 years (I'm 11) with my family, and we have learned some tricks on how to save a buck here at Universal CityWalk, right next to Universal City Studios.
Come with me on a bargain journey of exploration and shopping on a budget at one of the most fun, safe and most visited main streets in America! CityWalk is a most see when visiting Los Angeles, and I hope my guide will save you some money.
Tips:
What to bring - Everyone is a tourist at CityWalk, so bring comfortable shoes, a camera and plan to spend some time exploring. But bring money - many of the places here DONT have bargains, so money is always good to have. There are ATM's at CityWalk but plan ahead.
ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS - If you have a Universal Studios Annual Pass, bring it! Almost every store will give you discounts on all purchases, sometimes up to 20%. If you don't have one, consider buying one, but only if you intend to use it! Locals get discounts for the annual pass. Passes are also sometimes on sale at discounted prices for very limited times of the year, so keep an eye out for them on TV and the internet.
What to watch for - Actors, actresses, and Universal Studio workers walk in to CityWalk from right next door to eat and have coffee, so be on the lookout!
What to wear - Weather is excellent in Los Angeles - most of the time, but sometimes it does rain. Universal CityWalk is not covered, so if rain is planned, dress warm.
When to go - CityWalk is least crowded in the mornings and early afternoons, and during the week. CityWalk is MOST crowded on weekend, holidays and at night. Plan ahead!
What to ask - When shopping at CityWalk, ask the employees for any discount or clearance items or areas.
Research! - Check out prices for not only CityWalk but Universal Studios on their website. CityWalk also has its own website which has detailed information for every store.
