Overview:
Popular hard-core trail with great view at top. Often driven downhill in opposite direction described here as continuation of Golden Spike. (Available as FunTreks eGuide on EveryTrail.) Open all year weather permitting. Best time to go: Spring and Fall. Located on BLM land. For current status call Bureau of Land Management, Moab Field Office at (435) 259-2100.
Rating:
Difficult. Many difficult ledges, especially at the top. For modified vehicles with very high ground clearance, lockers, large tires and good articulation. Follow painted white gold bar symbols and tire marks.
Tips:
Be prepared to pay fee to park if you use the lot. Watch for lots of mountain bikers heading to Gemini Bridges. (Available as FunTreks eGuide on EveryTrail.) Take plenty of drinking water especially in the hot summer months. Make sure your vehicle is in tiptop condition and always travel with other vehicles.

Turn west into parking lot. Unlicensed vehicles can unload here; however, there is a fee to park. Continue west across railroad tracks, then turn south.
