Overview: Found on the Fort Ord Army Base, these public lands are a must if you are in the Monterey area. Little known to the local public due to its location on the now closed Fort Ord, these trails are true treat. Walk, bike or ride a horse through the grove after grove of oaks. Shown here is but one of the many trail routes that you can take and with the many inter-connections you will never have to take the same rout twice.

Fort Ord Public Lands Parking

At the gate there is a map of the area's trails. The Fort Ord Public lands is on what used to be the Fort Ord Army base. You can either hike, bike or ride a horse through most of the trails. Dogs are welcome, just be sure to clean up after them.
