Overview: Enjoy this bike ride to the newest park in the Benton County area. The Allen Throop Loop at the top has a beautiful open meadow with sweeping views towards Mary's Peak and down towards teh towns of Philomath and Corvallis.

Tips: Follow Harrison Blvd out of downtown Corvallis Oregon across Walnut Blvd. where it becomes Oak Creek Road. Less then a mile down the road you will find the parking area for Bald Hill.

Parking

Park here at the Oak Creek Parking area which is free but fills up on nice days sometimes.

Left

Take a left here to continue on alonside the cow fields.

Up Hill

Keep going uphill here. Stop to look at the trail map if you'd like. Going left will take you to Bald Hill.

Into the Woods

Here you will enter the beautiful woods on a well maintained trail.

Mulkey Creek Trail

Ignore the trail heading off to the left and continue onward.

Wynoochee Drive

Here you will emerge onto a roughly paved road. You will follow these side roads all the way to Fitton Green.... and it will all be uphill.. joy!

Panorama Drive

Take a left here onto Panorama Drive. You'll see a trail sign pointing the way.

Trailhead for Fitton Green

Here you will find a parking area for those lazy people as well as a big trail sign.

Fitton Green Views

You will have great views down towards Corvallis and Philomath and west towards Mary's Peak and the coast range. Continue the loop down the open meadow and then follow the same way back to Bald Hill.
