Overview: Crocker (4,168') and South Crocker (4,010') are fairly easy to ascend but finding your way to Reddington, especially if there is snow on the ground obscuring the herdpath (no trail to Reddington), can be very difficult. The brush is thick up near the tops of these mountains and you'll need to carefully follow the gps track back down forest logging roads to Carribou Pond Road to find your way back to your vehicle.

Tips: Travel down Carribou Pond Road that leaves ME-27/16 just past the Sugarloaf Ski area. Continue down the road until the start of the GPS track which you should use as a guide. This road may not be plowed in late spring or winter significantly adding distance to this climb.

No fees or permits required.

Crocker Mountain Summit

Wooded summit that offers some views. This mountain obviously supported it's own glacier at one time long ago.

South Crocker Summit

At 4,010' there is a short side trail that leads to a rockier outcrop with better views of Crocker Mountain. Leaving this summit look carefully for the herd path that leads south towards Reddington. If you lose it make sure you use the gps track in this guide to find your way.

Summit of Reddington

This 3,984' peak seems to be heavily logged. Although it is under 4k feet it is on the NE 111er's list because it was once believed to be over 4k.
