Rating:

Moderate. Much of this trail follows a rocky creek bed, which can change after storms. A couple of difficult spots have bypasses. Suitable for aggressive, high-clearance SUVs.

This trail is one of 55 trails from the book, Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails, 2nd Edition, by Charles Wells, and is available at www.funtreks.com. This trail is also in FunTreks ATV Guide for Moab.

Tips: This is a sensitive area and watched closely by BLM. Make sure to stay on existing roads at all times. Don’t drive or ride up and down sidehills. Watch kids and dogs at cliff edges around Day Canyon. Carry plenty of water; canyon can get very hot in the summer.
