Overview: This is a short backpacking trip from the Bear Valley Visitor Center to Coast Camp. This is an overnight trip that can be changed to several different ways back. This is a good short overnight trip. The first two miles is pretty steep up hill and the last four is mostly downhill. There isn't really a lot of flat trail.

Parking and Trailhead

Park in the dirt part of the Bear Valley parking lot and start down the Bear Valley Trail. Cars that are parked overnight are required to park in the dirt area. Permits for camping need to be picked up in the visitor center.

Mt. Wittenberg Trail

When you get to the Mt. Wittenberg Trail marker take a right up the hill.

Take a left when you get to the Sky Trail.

Woodward Valley Trail

Continue straight on to the Woodward Valley Trail

Coast Trail

At the Coast Trail take a right toward Limantour.

Coast Camp

There are several campsites here to camp at. Sites will be given when the permit is picked up at the visitor center. It is close to the beach to go take a trip down for a swim or a walk on the beach.
