Overview:
This is a 4.2 mile (one way) out and back, moderately strenuous hike down to a nice swimming hole and flowing water. While the first part of the hike is an easy 2 miles down and a flat walk out to the water, the hike back is strenuous - especially in the heat. However, hanging down by the water makes it all worth it.
Tips:
Be sure the bring plenty of water and electrolyte replacement. I wouldn't recommend this hike in the summer as the way out has minimal shade (read: small bushes) and can get over 90 degrees easily.
The road out to this hike is another challenge. The dirt track is not well maintained and has some sheer drops in areas. I'd only recommend going if you have a high clearance, 4WD vehicle. Be safe! Good luck!
