Overview:
This is another nice section of trail to hike. There's plenty of access to water. Along the way you can see the Yellow Springs ruins and a sign marking the location of the Village of Rausch Gap.
The hiking is easy to moderate. There weren't a lot of hills. Like most of the AT in PA, there were parts of this section that were rather rocky.
Tips:
This section of trail runs past Fort Indiantown Gap, a National Guard Training Center. It's possible that you'll be able to hear gunfire in the distance, and see helicopters fly overhead.
Here's a sign marking where the Village of Rausch Gap once was. Other than this sign, there was no evidence in the area indicating that a town had ever been here.
