Private guides

Postby P.eter on Thu Sep 29, 2011 4:43 am

Hi,

On my last roadtrip in Canada I missed a good App for my Android phone to find/see nice places while driving around, and Everytrail guides look to fill that gap, but (there's always a but)

I would like to plan my trip in advance and fill it with POI I find around the web or I want to do, make this as a guide and use this on my next roadtrip as guideline, but off-course this would not be 'public' quality, it's more like a planning.

So I thought: private guide, because all the technology is there with Everytrail.

In the end this would be my killer app than: recording your trip with gps, take notes, pictures and in the meantime you know where the POI's are which interest you...

I was thinking of writing something like this my self, but was first looking to see what's available.

We don't allow the guides to be private, they are meant to guide others along the route. However, you can create a "planned trip" instead and add waypoints for places you want to go, and sync that trip to your phone to follow while recording your own route.
